AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

1. To Establish, Manage, Maintain and run Aviation Safety Institutions anywhere in India.
2. To promote the Safety of the entire spectrum of Civil Aviation Operations in the country in coordination, cooperation, consultation and collaboration with Aviation Regulators (MOCA, DGCA, AAI, AERA, BCAS), IMD,National and International Airlines,Aircraft and Helicopter Manufacturers Indian and Foreign,General Aviation Air craft and Helicopters Operators,State Govt Civil Aviation Departments, Pilots, Engineers, Cabin Crew, Technicians, Dispatchers, Aviation Medical Specialists and Aviation,Related Staff Members, Maintenance and Repair Organisations (MRO), Airport Operators both AAI and Private, Ground Handling Agencies, Associations/Federations/Guild of Pilots, Engineers, Air Traffic Controllers Etc, Aeronautical Society of India, Foundation for Aviation and Sustainable Tourism, Business Aircraft Operators Association, Aviation Watch India, Aviation Security India, International Foundation for Aviation and Aerospace Development, MRO Association-India, Rotary Wing Society of India, Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Confederation of India Industry (CII), The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), Flight Safety Foundation( International), International Helicopter Safety Team, Other Aviation Safety Associations around the world, DG Air Safety, Indian Air Force, DG Army Aviation, ACNS Air, Navy,Coast Guard, Aviation Research Centre, Border Security Force, Central and State Police Departments, Professionals from Finance and Legal fraternity and other supporting Staff and National pool of former and present Aviation Professionals.
3. To Create awareness among the stakeholders and educating them with focus on the need and importance of Aviation safety.
4. To identify various Safety specific Issues, setting Timelines, Priorities and serving as a catalyst to address the issues through collection and collation of safety related data, its analysis, making recommendations and following on the implementation of the recommendations vigorously with the concerned authorities/organizations.
5. To Assist the regulators and cooperate and coordinate with them to review the safety initiatives through the involvement of all the stakeholders.
6. To Share information, knowledge, education and communication with various stake holders.
7. To Organise National and International Seminars, conferences, workshops, debates and brainstorming sessions for diffusion of knowledge.

8. To Train Aviation Professionals on safety related subjects particularly Safety Management System and writing papers.

9. To Conduct Third Party Safety Audits to promote safety through participative initiatives.
10. To interact with other institutions like Flight Safety Foundation International, International Helicopter Safety team which are store house of Safety Related knowledge and learning from their expertise and experience to update with the latest trends and applications to serve the interest of Aviation Safety.
11. To Publish Aviation Safety India periodicals including Electronic Weekly and monthly bulletins.
12. To undertake various Aviation Safety specific research, studies, education programs by engaging subject matter experts on full time or part time basis with remuneration.

13 . To give or establish prizes for excellence in the field of Aviation Safety Related research, studies and work to promote safety in Aviation.

14. To grant scholarships or provide financial aid to poor / meritorious students in the field of education and Safety.

15. To complete, publish and distribute or give, financial aid, in the publication of any literature for the promotion of the objects of the Society.

16. To open branches where ever considered expedient for the promotion of the objects of the Society.

17. To use the audio-visual media for furtherance of the aims and objects of the Society.

18.To provide assistance and opportunities to children and young people desirous and eager to learn about Aviation and Safety.

19. To mutual exchange, collaborations with other organizations in the field of education and Aviation.

20. To develop a good teaching faculty and invite experts in the field of Aviation to promote research, documentation and   dissemination on the various aspects of the Aviation Safety.

21. To translate, print, publish, circulate and distribute appropriate material for distribution of useful knowledge through magazine,pamphlets or other printing mode for the development and promotion,benefit and advancement of Aviation and Safety.

22.  To subscribe or give donations, financially or otherwise , to such other societies, agencies, associations or institutions who are working in the area of Aviation and Safety or involved in the activities which tend to support or aid / advance the aims and objects of the society.

23.  To receive any grant, donation, fee, support and assistance in any form for the furtherance of the objects of the society.

24.  To purchase, lease, secure by exchange or license, hire or otherwise acquire any moveable or immovable property and any interest, easement, right and privilege necessary or alter any moveable and immovable property of the Society and undertake such other activities as may be necessary and incidental to the objects of the Society.

25.  To frame bye-laws and rules and regulations for the conduct of the business of the Society and its officers and employees.

26.  To do all such other lawful acts, deeds and things as are incidental or conductive to the attainment of the above objects or any of them.

All the income, earnings, moveable properties of the society shall be utilized and applied towards the promotion of its aims and objects only as set forth in the “Memorandum of Association” and no profit or part thereof shall be paid or transferred, directly or indirectly by way of dividends, bonus, profit or in any manner whatsoever, to the members of the society or to any other person. No member of the society shall have any personal claim on any moveable or immovable properties of the society or make any profits, whatsoever, by virtue of this membership.

The Society will achieve its Objective by:-

  • Sharing of information and knowledge, education and communication with various stake holders.
  • Organising National and International Seminars, conferences, workshops, debates and brainstorming sessions for diffusion of knowledge.
  • Training of Aviation Professionals on safety related subjects particularly Safety Management System, undertaking research and writing papers.
