Greetings from Aviation Safety Management Society of India (ASMSI).
Safety Management System was introduced in the country on 20 Jul 2013 by DGCA and as per the provisions of DGCA CAR,all the operators were required to implement Safety Management System in four phases by 20 Jul 2013.Considering the great importance of SMS,ICAO had issued a dedicated Annex -19 on SMS.

Air Asia flight from Kolkata makes emergency landing after hailstorm cracks windshield

An AirAsia flight to Bagdogra with 171 passengers on March 3 2020 encountered a hailstorm soon after takeoff and was forced to make an emergency landing in the airport here after the pilot suspected damage to the windshield, the airlines said in a statement on Wednesday. Vistara to Become India’s First Airline to Feature In-flight Internet

A partnership agreement between Panasonic Avionics and Tata Group subsidiary Nelco Limited is set to make Vistara India’s first domestic airline to offer in-flight Internet access to passengers.

The agreement between Panasonic, its subsidiary ITC Global allows the company to begin offering in-flight connectivity services in India through Nelco’s Department of Telecommunications license for In-flight Maritime Connectivity in accordance with the Flight and Maritime Connectivity regulations first established by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India in 2018.
